Adurs :: My Review

This is the first time NTR has done a full length comedy role. Though his chari character is entertaining, Narasimha character is a big let down. Climax is disappointing and placement of the songs are irritating.

Story: This is a story about two separated twins where one child is grown at a Bramhin family and another child at his single mother. Narasimha (Narsi) is a rugged guy who always has a gun (when scene demands 2 guns) in his pocket, where as Narasimhacharyulu(Chari), timid is a typical brahmin guy whose Guru is Bramhanandam. Asish Vidyarthi and Mahesh Manjrekar is in search of a top scientist family, who gets Narsi caught. Narsi realises that his father is in danger and promises that he would rescue him. Narsi escapes from Mahesh Manjrekar. Raghubabu, an assistant of Mahesh takes the responsibility of getting NTR. Raghubabu, with the help of MS finds Chari and offers him money if he could act like Narsi. Chari accepts the deal and enters Mahesh's house. The rest of the story is whether Mahesh knows the truth, why Mahesh captured Nasser (NTR's Father), whether or not he is rescued and their families knows about their birth secret.

Chari + Chari + Bemmi + MS

Performances:

NTR as Narsi: NTR as Narsi is a mere extension of his character from Kantri. He has nothing to perform other than fights and few scenes. You hardly find a laugh on his face. He has no emotions in his character.

NTR as Chari: NTR as Chari is hilarious in few scenes. He is pretty good throughout the second half. His introduction itself brings laughs in the audience. After few scenes in the first half his character gets into a weird kind of feeling. But in the second half with the help of Bemmi, MS and raghubabu, NTR could really extract laughter's in the theater. It is hilarious whenever chari says "Naakesaaru" dialogue.

Nayanatara: Although Nayanatara is slim and sleek, her presence could not bring enough attention. She is just okay

Sheela: Sheela only appears for 2-3 songs and scenes before those songs. If you are reading this by any chance, sheela dont forget to wear your costumes fully before you get ready for the shot, i thought you forgot wearing your full costumes as if only half are sufficient. She is only used as a glam doll in the movie and there is not even 1% for her to perform.

Bramhanandam : The much hyped character of the movie couldn't bring you laughs every time you see him on screen as in Krishna but few scenes were really good. Off late bramhanandam along with the hero is becoming the saving grace for the movies.

Others : Mahesh Manjrekar is wasted. Sayaji Shinde and Asish Vidyarthi are just okay. Raghubabu and MS are good. Anant is also good in his role. Nasser has nothing do with the performance. Remaining all are just okay in their roles.

Sidelights:

Showing NTR accident scenes while climax titles are rolling.

Positives:

1. Chari's Energy
2. NTR's Dances in 2 songs.
3. Bramhanandam

Negatives:

1. Story, Screenplay and Direction are poor.
2. Graphics.
3. Narsi's character is only limited for Fights.
4. 1st half of the movie is boring.
5. Predictable second half and climax.

Story - Screenplay: Story and Screenplay are pretty normal. Both of them were seriously lifted from many of the old movies. The story itself is like new wine in the old bottle with very less interesting ingredients.

Music: Devi Sri is okay in songs and poor in BGM.

Photography : Okay

Direction: The story line of the movie is thin and direction is not up to the mark. with the real hype of NTR-VVV project, VVV has completely disappointed through out the movie.

Bottom Line: I didn't understand why the songs come and go in the movie, there isn't perfect timing for atleast couple of songs. Fight sequences are poorly handled which neither generates emotion nor enthusiasm.

Finally, first half of the movie is boring and second half has few scenes which are really good, on the whole the movie was unable to reach the expectations.

My Rating : 2.75/5
